Intended function
and associated requirement.

PRINCIPLE

The snowflake does not display a numerical temperature; it makes the wall’s transition through a designed cold range visible.

WHY IT IS INCLUDED

At a glance, the user can recognise when the bottle is within the intended cool range—without a battery, app or display.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Makes the intended cold range visible through a passive, reversible thermochromic snowflake. Reversible thermochromic microcapsules operate in a local layer protected by PHBH film. A thin thermal bridge reduces lag between water, wall and indicator. 8 ± 2 °C and ≤15 s are targets to be calibrated on the real wall; the symbol does not certify potability or the exact temperature of the full volume.

Everything to be defined,

A field without evidence is never filled with an invented number: it remains “To be determined”, together with the method required to close it. This is what makes the technical record verifiable.

08 · EVIDENCE POLICY

Traceability
for every parameter.

The absence of electronics removes batteries and circuitry. The active system is still an additive material, so its mass, migration and end-of-life behaviour must be qualified.

This page is the technical register for the R2 configuration. It separates design values, targets, calculations, measurements and certifications. Open fields identify the exact test or document required to close them.
